This privacy policy covers the “personal information” that Lintons Beauty obtains about you in various contexts, both online and offline, including when you visit our websites, visit us in our stores, communicate with us, or participate in any of our programs or events. Please note that we have no control over the privacy practices of websites or applications that we do not own.

 

WHAT WE COLLECT

We obtain information about you from a variety of sources depending on our relationship with you. The following are examples of the types of personal information that we collect and how we use that information:

  1. Account Registration

    • When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. You can choose to save certain information in your account to use for future purchases, such as your shipping addresses and payment information. When you add a Card On File to your account, we collect your payment information details, billing address, phone number, and zip code.

    • We use this information to maintain your account, including offering functionalities such as easy checkout and the ability to save user preferences and transaction history.

  2. Rewards Program

    • When you enroll for the Rewards Program, we collect your name, phone number, e-mail address, and mailing address. When you use your Rewards account, we collect information about your purchase history and rewards activity.

    • We use this information to administer the Rewards Program and to perform our contract to provide you with the benefits associated with the program. We also use this information to detect security incidents and to protect against malicious, deceptive, or fraudulent activity in connection with Rewards Program terms and conditions.

  3. Browsing Activity and Website Usage

    • When you visit our websites, we collect certain information about how you use and navigate, such as which links you click on, which pages or content you view, and other similar information or statistics. We also collect technical information about your device, operating systems, and web browser type.

    • We use this information to understand how you use our websites to determine which of our products or services are the most popular, and to improve our websites.   5. Happening at Lintons Beauty

    • When you book a reservation for one of our services, or when you RSVP for one of our events, we collect your contact information.

    • We use this information to send you messages about your appointments and events.

  6. In-Store And Online Beauty Services

    • For some online, Lintons Beauty, and in-store digital experiences, you may elect to submit (or we may ask your permission to take) pictures of your skin, hair, or other images of you.

    • We use this information to provide services, to better understand our customers’ needs, and to provide personalized recommendations about our products and services.

  7.  Posting in Public Forums

    • If you choose to submit or post information in a public space on our websites, or on our social media pages, such as creating a public profile, using our Ratings & Reviews feature to share product reviews, submitting content , or leaving a testimonial about a Lintons Beauty influencer, we collect the information you share.

    • We use this information to understand your opinions and to provide a forum for discussion, asking questions, posting photos and reviews, and sharing experiences.

  8. Promotional Communications

    • When you sign up to receive promotional communications from us, such as e-mail communications, mobile messages (including text and/or push notifications), we collect your contact information. We may also collect certain information about how you interact with the emails and promotional messages we send you.

    • We use this information to communicate with you and send promotional materials such as trend alerts, promotions, new product launches, and event invitations. We also use this information to understand how you interact with our communications with you.

  9. Purchasing (Online and In Stores)

    • When you place an order for a product on our website or by phone, we collect your name, shipping address, payment information, and billing address. When you make a purchase in one of our stores, we collect your payment information, and in some cases your phone number and email address.

    • We use this information to fulfill your orders for products or services, and to process your payments for such products or services. We also use this information to provide you receipts and order updates.

    • In addition to the personal information we collect from you directly, we may also obtain information about you from other sources, including third parties, business partners, our corporate affiliates, social networks, vendors that provide services on our behalf, or publicly available sources. For example, if you have given Lintons Beauty permission to store your credit card information and your credit card issuer provides an account updater service, we may receive updated credit card information (including credit card number and expiration date) from the credit card issuer.

  • Service Providers. We share certain personal information with third parties that perform services to support our core business functions and internal operations (e.g., fulfilling orders, delivering packages, complying with your request for the shipment of products to or the provision of services by a third party intermediary and emails, analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, administering our Ratings & Reviews, processing credit card and debit card payments, investigating fraudulent activity, conducting customer surveys, and providing customer service).

  • Third Party Partners. We may share your personal information with third parties that we have partnered with to jointly create and offer a product, service or joint promotion. I.e. Little Cabs- For order dispatch and delivery purposes. Their use of your information is governed by our Service Level Agreement with them that has the relevant data privacy provisions.

  • Social Media Platforms and Networks. Some of our websites have features such as plugins, widgets, or and other tools made available by third parties that may result in information being collected or shared between us and the third party. For example, if you use Facebook’s “Like” feature, Facebook may register the fact that you “liked” a product and may post that information on Facebook. Their use of your information is not governed by this privacy policy.

  • Regulatory Compliance. We may disclose personal information in response to subpoenas, warrants, court orders, government inquiries or investigations, or to comply with relevant laws and regulations. We may also disclose information to establish, exercise, or protect the rights of our company, employees, agents, and affiliates; to defend against a legal claim; to protect the safety and security of our visitors; to detect and protect against fraud; and to take action regarding possible illegal activities or violations of our policies.

  • Other Instances. We may ask if you would like us to share your information with other third parties who are not described elsewhere in this privacy policy.

You have the right (in the circumstances and under the conditions, and subject to the exceptions, set out in applicable law to:

  • Request access to your personal information that we have on record. This right entitles you to know whether Lintons holds personal data of you and, if so, obtain information on and a copy of the personal data.

  • Request Lintons to rectify any of your personal data that is incorrect or incomplete.

  • Object to and withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data. This right entitles you to request that Lintons no longer processes your personal data. The withdrawal of your consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on prior consent before its withdrawal. We may also continue to process your personal information if we have a legitimate or legal reason to do so.

  • Request the erasure of your personal data. This right entitles you to request the erasure of your personal data, including where such personal data would no longer be necessary to achieve the purposes.

  • Request the restriction of the processing of your personal data: This right entitles you to request that Lintons only processes your personal data in limited circumstances, including with your consent.

  • Request portability of your personal data. This right entitles you to receive a copy (in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format) of personal data that you have provided to Lintons, or request Lintons to transmit such personal data to another data controller in an electronic format.
